Mainly for the guys driving the V6 Maverick. How do they compare to the Terrano shaped ones? Are they as good off road as they don't have low/high ratio box or do they? ? Are they capable of the interstellar mileage of the 2.7 engine? Oh and what are the common faults with them? Do they rust as much in all the same places as the older ones ?

the newer mavericks have nothing to do with nissan, they are a totally different vehicle.

New ones are Mazda iirc

Just a crossover mpv thing, no offroad ability

Surely being Mazda's they should be reasonably reliable. Don't think they have been very popular so not many around. I've seen them but look to be the sort of car that will tow a caravan, get you around a muddy flat car park.

Probably pretty reliable, comfortable and a reasonable tow car. As said a totally different class of vehicle, in the same class as a Rav4 or Honda is it a HRV or CRV that they make. Should think they'll be an OK sort of car for road use and towing a caravan.

nice ride, lot of black plastic interior.

thirsty, former member had v6, and a 14 foot caravan managed 12mpg taking it steady.

did some lanes, like anything if engage brain first can get further than would expect.

as said is a mazda, a tribute as i recall. oddly peak national park had atleast one though
the 4 pot 2 litre couple of years ago., even towed smaller exibition trailer with it and
another for repairs to paths, stilles etc.

drive train freelander like front wheel drive, transverse engine, with rear end controlled electronically. no low box, dont think had any form of hill descent control.

A mate was looking at one, he went for a Shogun instead....... Tried but couldn't talk him into a Terrano, some people are beyond help! Lol

Yup, they are the same as the Mazda tribute, have ford parts tho, eg fords own audio system, or as I call it 'fordio' :D
