New rotten y60 swb owner

Hi I've recently bought a swb y60 which had been parked in a field for the last 3-4 years! it's in a bad state but got it cheap and fancy a project.

The rear chassis is rotten real bad from the panard mount back. Sills are rotten,front wings are gone and rear arches are rotten also :lol

You'll soon get the chassis welded up. Is it a 4.2 ?

Cheers guys yes it's the 4.2 went to look at another one for the chassis and spares so picking that up on Thursday :naughty going to get that chassis sandblasted at work then start rebuilding them into one good one.

Hi cheers btw if your after a wing I know a place who can get decent patern wings from Germany for £145 each not bad considering there the only place I've found doing them.

I wouldn't bother with the MWB, just cut it's arse off, that's what I'll be doing this summer :sly

Don't even bother chopping the chassis shorter or your asking for trouble from vosa etc.

If I had a trol I'd trayback it.

VOSA is no biggie when cutting the end off :thumb2
I like my inside space too much to tray back it.
