New rose jointed drop links... Sorted!

Taken me a few weeks to finally get them finished but well pleased with the end result. Lets hope they last longer than the standard ones!! Put grease nipples on them so its easy maintained.

I prefer mine on as I use it mainly for towing the van! Fed up with replacing the standard ones, rubbers kept splitting :nenau
Anyone want a set let me know should be able to do a full kit including new rubbers for about £45 + postage. :thumb2

Unfortunately I just replaced mine with some 'normal' ones.

Next time round I will definitely be interested. Sorry I don't have the funds to buy a 'stand-by' set at the moment.

I'm putting a set on the rear next week, not made them yet so if anyone wants a set let me know, and ill work a price out.
If you don't grease them they will wear or seize up, depending on what type you have. I've fitted mini tie bar bushes as they are bigger and tougher then the standard ones so they should last well :thumbs

my question is why there as they will only grease the bolt that needs to be nice and tight or am I missing something:nenau

Bolt is upto grease nipple then the feed hole into the rose joint is in the middle which allows grease onto the ball, all the way around a

did you have to put the hole in for the grease to get up to the ball as the ones I have fitted are a full casting around the ball.

It came with the hole in, it had a grease nipple too but a small one so i changed it for a proper one!! There are many types of rose joint these are brass inserts. They are 2 half's pressed in leaving a grease groove in the middle which allows the grease round the ball from up the middle.

Picture shows grease hole up the middle and the brass inserts that have a gap between them to allow the grease around the ball. If you twist the ball you can see the groove, a little hard to take a picture!!
