It does sound normal for the rears to be up to 3" higher than the front then?
Anyone lowered thers?:nenau
 
My measurements were from floor to arch trim. All my T2's have been like this

My six yr old has mastered getting in and out to 'big-black' (hence the name) .... 11 week old puppy aint got a cat in hells chance though!!!! :lol

3" sounds a bit excessive.

If you look in the manual there is a kosher measurement to work to, expressed as a differential between the heights of two points at the inner and outer ends of the front wishbone. If your front wishbones look fairly flat then the front is too low. Outer end should be around two inches lower than the inner end.....the penalty of having the ride too low at the front is incorrect tyre wear.....and less ground clearance for the offroaders.
