New Noise!! 2.7TD Mav

Been using a bit of water recently so maybe been leaking a while? Right also had to top brake fluid up so had it on ramps and has a leak on the flexi that joins the two rear brake pipes in the middle!! Cheers Rich.

Had you mentioned the water leak in the first post, it could have helped to diagnose the problem earlier.
Lacroupade hit the nail on the head early on.

Water loss ( or any other fluid loss) is not normal in a car, and strange noises often come with things that are abnormal.
(I am thinking of the odd member of other forums , not this one of course. :augie) :lol :lol

Cheers Rustic, hadnt been losing much water but had to top up once a fortnight, but were no signs of leakage even in morning or anything, but noise is recent ie last few days! I must tell you that my wife uses the mav mostly and never tells me of any problems etc until I drive it at the weekends, but I have had a week off work this week and found a few niggly bits that I havent been informed of..lol..She has been warned!!!!

Catching these issues early stops any major issues later in my opinion.

I have to drive the wife's car often, then I give her a list of what is wrong. :doh

That orange light there came on (Oil Lamp), then 10 minutes later the engine stopped.... But it started again 5 minutes later, so it's ok.... :doh :doh
