Hi all hope you've all had a great Xmas!! Well I've had confirmation that I'm doing a swop for my 3lt manual terrano for a 3lt auto in the next week or so!! Hope I've made the right choice? Just need something easier to drive off road while shooting... Atb rob

oh im sure it will be much easier to shoot and drive im thinking its drinking and driving thats not aloud lol. what and where do you shoot?

Manual to auto

Hi I'm out twice a week on 10 or so farms keeping everything from rabbits to foxes / deer etc managed for the farmers .. Most of which gets put back on the table for supper!! Also manage a couple of small pheasant shoots (which over the years has put a lot back into the country side,ie wild bird feed/cover crops including plenty of flowers etc for our local honey bees etc) I also fish all over the place and my daughter rides our horses all over kent at shows etc hence the need for a reliable 4x4.. Just gutted my old 3lt patrol blew up! (Even though she was treated like the queen!!oils etc changes etc .. Cheers rob

Terrano

Sorry all I seemed to have posted this thread under the listing!! Toooo much eggnog😜 can the mods put it under the terrano section? Thanks rob

Sounds like a quad would be better !

I'd have a 2.7 myself tho :)

Terrano

Your right quad would be good ... But would probably be nicked within a week !! And not as warm 😜

Prefer going shooting in my old auto to my current manual!

Right choice = yes

Auto

I must say the terrano feels a lot less stable on an incline in comparison to the patrol!

I must say the terrano feels a lot less stable on an incline in comparison to the patrol!

That's due to the patrol having a much greater track (wheels wider apart) than the Terrano but on the other hand a Terrano can fit through tight gates etc far better:thumbs

Nimble terrano

Your right on both counts!! The terrano does squeeze through tiny gaps etc but defo doesn't feel as stable on banks/hills etc especially if the trucks turning slightly..I was hoping to pick up the new auto 3lt before the new year but the garage need to replace/ reveal the sump..apparently a common problem? They recon they have to drop the front axle..? Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to have the new truck raised slightly , and is it something my mobile machanic can do on the drive? Where best to get the parts ? Does it affect anything on the truck ? I just want it a tad higher ,not to create any probs!! Thanks in advance guys..rob
