Thanks for all your help on here and on faceache. After a lot of doodallying about I have gone for a Sony Xperia Z3.

Unlimited data, unlimited texts and 600 minutes :D

No upfront fee, set me back a pretty penny every month though.

Tescos were doing a deal for 30 quid a month but that was only 3G.

I'm now paying 37 including 4g and no limits on data.

Please don't tell me there's a better deal about :lol

OK, I got a Nexus 5 because I want to have the latest version of Andriod as soon as it is released, I got v5 the week it was released
Other say you get the upgrade as soon as it is released, BUT from my experience with Xperia P Sony ugrade Android late if at all
I am with Three at £27 a month, unlimited data but a cap on teathering to 2Gb a month, not sure how many minutes around 600 I think and unlimited texts I think, but rarely use txt
A sim to give me the same allowance is £16 a month, the phone would cost £300, so do the sums at £27 a month I am saving money £11 x 24 = £264 with no up front fee
I have tried the rest this is my forth consecutive contract with Three.
The Sony Xperia P works well with the dashcam software
Haggle with them all it is well worth it.

We are looking for a 4g data service, and 3g seem to be the people, as we want enough data for 2 heavy users, and TV.

Reading what you have written, what do you mean "unlimited data but a cap on teathering to 2Gb a month" what is teathering?

I have this on new deal, it's when you use the phone as a device for your laptop or similar to connect to as a wifi point (I think) :thumb2

You use your phones internet connection to tether to maybe a tablet.
So you can use the internet on the move on the tablet.

I wonder how they know the difference between the phone making an internet request, and the tablet making one via the phone then?

Or perhaps like mine, if your tablet has terrible internet connection, mine will connect to home internet ect but cannot use 3g ect :thumb2

Hi, tethering means you can use your 3g or 4g on another wireless device effectively the phone is a wifi hotspot, I use my laptop to watch TV when I am away from home and if there is no wifi I use the phone
I use the Three network because it has never let me down all the time I have been with them, often when there is no phone signal there is 3g, so I can make a call on Skype.
