Had a ring around today for some prices on a new MAF, Nissan wanted £400, 2x local motor factors around £200 but got one in the end from eBay for £100 so fingers crossed its going to come tomorrow. Does anyone know if I will have to have the fault code from the old one removed and does the new one have to be PROGRAMED :thumbs. John

No plug and play, incidentally is it a Bosch or Hitachi, Rick

It's exactly the same as the faulty one with all the same numbers. Oh and it's a Bosch unit:thumb2

I believe that the Bosch maf is supposed to self clean by heating the wires to burn off deposits this makes them fail, I am sure rayf3262 will correct me if I am wrong, I fortunately have the Hitachi unit, much more reliable and cheaper, Rick

More reliable yes but Hitachi MAF is much more expensive
Unless you've found the golden goose ? :sly

Sorry Pete not needed to change it, just my memory of what others have said, so I got it wrong, but if Nissan want £400 for a Bosch, what on earth will they want for an Hitachi? Rick
