hey guys im looking to purchase some new front shocks as my current ones bottom out way too easily, what would you recommend?

I'm getting a set of Monroes as soon as the cavalier has sold as i'm skint at the minute.

It must be something to do with the roads in Scotland as mine died while I was on a roadtrip around it a few weeks ago, luckily Rick saved my bacon by bringing me a set of standards

Yeah its the supposedly scottish version of route 66. Looks a good route, going to do it in august.

I didn't really rate the reflex shocks,very soft ride(softer than the pro comps I've got on now) and the outer shield rubs on the main tube straight out of the box.
In the rough shock fade was quite noticeable also.
Got around 18 months use out of mine before they where constantly bottoming out on every bump and pot hole on the road.

What about these??

Ginjaninja on here has these shocks I think, and matching springs (2" lift), I've been for a ride as a passenger and seemed alright, don't know bout off road tho.

I will be getting monroe adventure shocks, and maybe some lift springs but I haven't made me mind up yet

Couple of hundred quid for std shocks all round suddenly jumps to £500+ for a 2" lift! What gives?
