On a serious note, don't put Ally wheels in there, I am amazed at how much damage it does to the bottoms of Aluminium Saucepans and frying pans, and it completely eat away the original "K" beater from our Kenwood Mixer.
Absolutely!!!
Only put steel wheels into your dishwasher, that would be the smart thing to do.
:thumbs
Then the wife won't get upset at all.
:augie
Thats the advantage of being the only one who loads and unloads the dishwasher in this house, she never finds out!!!! :lol:lol
do not think that a one off dip in the dish washer will hurt alloys, but I would not want to face the other half if she found out, but then that does not apply here as we do not have one, well yes I do it is called a Maggie, Rick

Not sure, the washing machine is the wifes property... lol. For me it has just one setting and loading sequence, for the ferret bedding....The trick is not to use dishwashing powder if you are washing aluminium stuff use a non foaming detergent instead.
After all you would use different powders for synthetics & woolens would you not ?

Sheesh gold rim cups, how the other half live
He'd had those cups for over 20 years you know :roflol::hide:
Lol sorry rustic I could not resist x
Took the gold edging off our Crown Derby Mug!It's the caustic effect of most dishwasher tablets or powders that attack aluminium, you just need one with the right chemistry.
We had some gold rimmed cups once... they went in the dish washer, no gold on them now. :augie
