New Clutch

The BIG problem with these gearboxes, is that they are HEAVY, one false move and you can bend the input shaft.

I have never done a clutch, and I wouldn't like to learn on one of these.

It's like saying..

I have done one (with the help of a qualified mechanic friend used to working on 4x4's) and it is a very heavy gear box indeed!

That is the very reason we take the engine out, so much easier than that box, and on the hoist you have full control, we can do a clutch in a day comfortably, and you are welcome to watch, arrive am depart pm you supply the bits, if you want an oil change etc at the same time no problem £150.00 Rick

Clutch

Hi i did one on my own on the drive fitted a recon box and new clutch and i am no mechanic. picks some were on here. done Landys before but with help from this great club with torsion bars etc job sorted.Laurie. still the best tenner spent:thumbs

Each one to his own, we have done around 6 clutches on T2's 5 engine out, one box out, and I will go engine every time, but I have to say if I had a lift and all the modern equipment then just maybe I might go box out but it is still a maybe, Rick

yet i had no option as the gearbox was knackerd
