New bits turned up yesterday

Well my new titan full length roof rack and hawkwing awning turned up yesterday. I started to get all the bits out to put the latching brackets and plates on but got called out for work so only got halfway and didn't get back till 0100 hrs so thought I'd best not carry on might piss off the neighbours. Today has been peeing down with rain all day so no more progress. My biggest issue is how the hell am I going to get it on the roof on my own, weighing 66 kg I think I'm gonna have to find someone a little taller and stronger than SHMBO.
Then once that's on the LED spots go on then the awning, pics will follow tomorrow ish.

Its one thing I have no clue about is all the camping stuff, it's something I think I should get into more but I don't even know if an awning would attach to my roof rack lol. Looking forward to see how you get on.

Quick update and pics, got the legs on the roofrack tonight i have a mate coming round after work to help me lift on and secure it. then at the weekend if i dont get called out for work ill put the awning on.

I don't think you do you would buy a troop 1 which is flat except for a raised rail around the front. I'm not having a roof tent I wouldn't get my Lardy arse up there, I have a 4 man pop up ground tent that does me fine. Just got to get the awning fixed next, more pics to follow

Makes sense, I've got the good chaps at Deefab designing and pricing a roofrack around the half flat/half caged theme.
