need some "bleedin" help !

Ah..... thought that an expletive in title would get your attention.
On a more serious note I need a few tips on how to bleed my 3.0 SVE.
Had to chop out the fuel lines over back axle as they were slopin amber nectar all over new drive and "she" was doin her nut.
Anyhow did that put a few more spots on drive went to start motor ran for two minutes and "conked" out.
Summized air in fuel so tried forcing it through by cranking half dead battery Killed battery stone dead!
Bought new battery now want to crank her up, but aint too sure on where to bleed it.
Got a spring loaded flat black knob on top of fuel filter so have pumped that a few times till it went hard question is what else do I do?

By the way ID of feed fuel pipe on my 3.0 SVE is 9mm return is 6mm
 
That's the way to do it after a filter change, but are you absolutely confident that any new joins in the pipe are air tight. It could be sucking air.
