nearside auto hub clicking when 4wd engages and when i brake ?

hi guys had my auto hubs off whilst replacing my discs and hubs and the nearside one clicks the very next movement after engaging them form a stationary position and then it clicks when i brake ?:nenau

when i had the auto hubs off i took off the 1st locking ring and took the coiled piece of metal (spring part i think) and i wasnt broken, i didnt attempt too take the rest of it out.

could my problm be the hubs are not engaging properly ?

hi makeitfit when you say circlip do you mean on the one on the auto hub ?

if so i did

i think i'll take it off tomorrow and have a play around with it
