Nasty Clunk

When I steer hard left or right and drive over a bump - I get a very nasty clunk from the suspension sounds like.

Any pointers as to diagnosis / what to examine and treat please?

it could be a couple off things 1 cv joint 2 anti roll bar bushes are gone i had this problem and it resolved it by replacing the main bushes

it sounds like your steering stops. try slaping a load of grease on them to free them up. if that doesn't work then you might need new ones. check out th workshop download-

Mine did this was the stops just ignore it, never get round to nissan serv cent for the bits, does pages or similar stock them?

Mine was the steering stops, plenty of grease that cures it for about 3 months.

Just bought some grease which I shall apply liberally over the weekend. I'll let you know if its successful.

Applied the grease and all is now well... no more nasty clunks on full lock and going over bumps.
