Can you start it from cold on lpg or is it like the old tvo tractors that needed to warm up on petrol first?

Is it currently mot’d, if so can you still run it daily until you have time to fix it up properly.

My 2007 Santa Fe started on petrol and after a minute or less it started running on gas.

Whats wrong with the Ford?
In the pictures it doesn't look that bad

If you do think of selling give me a shout mate:thumb2

I was advised by the previous owner that he was advised that you should start it on Petrol first and then switch to LPG after a mile or so, then similarly, once you are nearing the end of your journey you should switch back to Petrol.

Same principle as what the twin-tankers do on Veg :thumb2

Exactly how I got tricked into purchasing it in the first place :lol It needs two front body mounts, a new lower cross member that the rad sits on, new sills and work doing on the rear arches as they have started to bubble, I'm 100% that if I pushed hard enough with my finger that I would go through the body :(

No problems pal :thumb2 First refusal

Like you said your other truck will be ready first but this one isn’t a breaker yet as those are not difficult at all mate, just time consuming.
Don’t lose heart Zac, you can do it mate.

Could be a good opportunity to teach yourself welding mate :nenau it's not as hard to pick up as you'd think and comes in very handy, I havd an R-tech 180 inverter welder and would definitely recommend it to anyone :thumb2

SOLD and now owned by one of our expert members, Mr Gorsebuster himself

Elty

So why did you have to buy the Pear ?

I'm feeling a little sorry for myself at the minute :/

It's turned out to be a bit of a let down

Only just read this post - did you bid without a viewing so were stuck with it then?

I have looked at vehicles in the past, luckily decided to view fist - only to find a shed after a 40 mile trip.

At least you have moved it on to someone who will hopefully fix it.

The 2.4 I had with the gas conversion started fine on gas, no need to be switching about, incidentally I bought an upper cylinder oiling kit for it but never got round to fitting it before I scraped the motor, it is still around some place still in it's box, if anyone interested? Rick
