I suspect my NS ABS Sensor is giving me problems and want to check the wires. I've had a quick look with the steering on full lock today. I can see the sensor which has a round rubber cover on the back of it, does this cover come off to reveal a connector? The wire seems to be tie wrapped on to the arms and then goes into the engine bay, is there a connector in the engine bay?
Don't really want to remove the sensor if at all possible as it looks to be well rusted in if you know what I mean.

If there is a brake in the wires I would guess it'll poss be around the area where it's cable tied to the suspension arm

Plug should be on the inside, (engine bay) of the chassis Jim

Thanks guys. I guess I'm gonna have to give it a dose of WD40 to let it soak before I'll be able to get the bolt out. All being I'll be able to bring it inside to be able to solder correctly. It does look rather rusted though.

from past experience you will probably not get the sensor out without damaging it as they get proper stuck in there.
i did the wires on my old t2.
not too bad a job if you can solder.
i cut the wires as close to the sensor and plug as poss to leave enough to solder the new wire in.
did the plug end in the shed but had to do the sensor end in situ as it wouldn't come out.
covered the joints with heat shrink insulation and the abs worked a treat from then on.

I'll have to try and borrow a pretty good iron for soldering outside at this time of year. Thanks for the advice as it does look rather stuck. Now why don't people use a smear of copper slip or something for this kind of job.
