mystery boost relief valve ?

Been reading about a boost relief valve on the intake manifold, but where is it ?

Anyone heard of this ?

Its a fail safe protection thing incase of overboosting :nenau

I wonder if it's that mushroom looking thing between the throttle flap assy and the egr. It's on top of the inlet manifold

Well, mine is just a round thing formed in the casting, no moving parts its just part of the manifold, shaped into the cast ali :nenau

Hmm, mine was a sodding great big mushroom thingy that undid. 1" bsp blanking bolt fits a treat :thumbs

zd 3 litre can over boost, boy did my troll but its not a feature
i know of on 2.7tdi
