My truck

Ive had my truck for 5.5 years now and she has never let me down. Ive done 50k in her, 37 of which were on one set of tyres. I do a lot of towing with it, mainly of my home built trailer.

Yes it is in good nick for its age and I do try and cherish her but have a family of 6 six so she is generally 7th in the pecking order. It is dirty much of the time but still cleans up well. The wheels are showing their age though, flaking on the front unfortunately. Interior is in good nick to thanks to tough covers i bought for the seats when i first got it.

How could I install roof rails?

I have always wanted to have a roof rack on the mav, that is the one thing missing. It would be good for the roof box and bike racks.

How can I install roof rails to fix bars too? I can rails from scrapyard but how do they fix? do i have to drill through the roof? (scary prospect).:nenau

Nice tidy looking Truck is that.....

A little bit of something like back to black on the wheel arch trims to match the bumpers and it'll look the dogs danglies.

Thanks for all the great replies guys. Yes back to black when I have a moment, although the affect did not last very long last time I did it. Old engine oil put on with a paint brush is quite good to. She has just clicked over 100k but hope for another 100 maybe?

I think you would have to drill the roof for bars, i would like to do it myself but i know what you mean about it being a scary idea.

Smart looking motor.

The roof bars need the roof drilling so no need to remove the lining on the inside. They are fitted with riv-nuts, basically a cross between a rivet and a nut. Must say I'd not be without my front to back roof bars. Once saw some in polished ally which looked smart. Mine are the standard matt black and are more use than looks if you know what I mean.

reckon easier than sounds, defo measure twice drill once !

on my previous t2 bought a set off a scrapped t2, didnt get
round to fitting then traded for a patrol, sold the bars on
to a member in Greece. Where they were in short supply.
