My wife had an accident in the old truck, a vehicle coming the other way on the wrong side of the road. I'm more pissed off that our government have cut the nhs so much that there was no ambulance for her or the other drive and we had to carry our loved ones to our cars and take them to hospital ourselves. Both her feet were trapped by the pedals so she is now having xrays.
Fingers crossed both my wife and the other driver are ok.

Sounds like a bad one Jim, hope your wife and other driver get the all clear.
The paramedics are brilliant, it's just they are spending more time looking after patients in the hospital car park because the a&e is bursting at the seems.

Just a waiting game now, my two sons are with her at the moment. I've been back with the other truck to collect the dog cage from the house nearby but to be honest the dogs won't be going back in there it's too far gone now. I've tried to post a photo from my ipad but it just fails and I haven't got the patience. Just waiting for my daughter to come home now.

Healing vibes being sent. I hope everyone is alright. I wouldn't worry too much, the NHS will be getting £350m a week very, very soon.

bad news mate.

fingers crossed Mrs is all right and cooking and cleaning again soon

Best wishes and hears hoping SWMBO will be fine soon.

I hope all is not serious for your wife. Yes the Hudds A+E was only closed a year or so back. Now the closest for you is Halifax I believe. Bloody stupid what they do.

Best wishes and hears hoping SWMBO will be fine soon.

Blimey Jim, hope your wife is ok and soon recovers from the trauma. Life is on a knife edge, events take place when you least expect them.
The important thing is your wife is ok, subject to X-rays but should make a full recovery.

Makes you wonder if looking after an old vehicle is worthwhile, following a bump of any sort will write most cars off that are over 10 years old.
I think of all the work you have done to it :doh
Mind you, good job you did the rework, had it been in it's original state... Things might have been different.
Gosh knows what a 21 year old Maverick is worth lol...
Best wishes to your wife for a quick recovery.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope your wife is okay and my best wishes to you and your family. It's at times like these we rely on our cars to keep our loved ones as safe as possible.

Sorry to hear this news, I hope your other half will be okay, and sorted soon.....:D

hi jim , sorry to hear about this , but if I can help in anyway , taking you places etc , let me know :thumb2

Best wishes!! It wasn't by any chance a driver from the continent? I'm dreading driving in the UK when I come over in May...

Just as well it was a Terrano with a chassis, most other motors without would have folded, I can tell you how solid the T2 is as almost completed cutting through one at engine/gearbox junction to remove the engine and front supension as one lump, used 3 9inch metal discs and 6x4.25 thin ones and still got a bit of cutting to do, it is megga thick to the rear of the bottom wish bones.

Sincerely hope the Mrs is OK the motor can be replaced, Rick

Sending best wishes to your wife, I hope her legs are OK.

Shocking news Jim. I hope it's a speedy recovery for your wife, but I've recently found out it takes longer the older you get:doh
All the best.

We have just got back from the hospital. Her right foot is the worst where it was trapped in the pedals, she has broken metatarsals. Her other ankle and leg is badly bruised and her upper body has muscle strains a bit like whip lash.
I sent a photo to a friend who does recovery and he says if it had of been an ordinary car with that kind of impact the outcome would have been totally different. Tired now but when I get chance I will post some photos.

She is gutted to loose her Terrano

Glad she's not tooooooooo bad bloke.

Does that mean both your trucks are out of action?

Guess we'll have to start looking out for a new truck for your missus as well as Banshee's Gramps.

Wish her a speedy recovery.

:thumbs

Borrowed a rear light to go with the one i had in the garage and stuck old bumbper back on the other week when it snowed so that I could get around if needed.
Reet I'm off to bed it's been a long day bitter sweet but my wife is safe which is the most important thing.

Glad to hear she is ok. Sending all my best
