yup, i spent all day today under my truck, i got gear fluid on my face and in my mouth but it was worth it:D, i took all the rotted breather pipes out 'that were clogged and rotten' and put nice rubber tubes in , also, i put longer tubes in for the diffs and extended the pipes higher up:D

Can you run the Rear Diff breather internal to the car and behind the rear interior panels.

Jim

mine runs into the tube where the rear shock top bolts mount

i might actually do that as i've got lots of pipe:thumb2

U could make it alot cleaner by t in to the gearbox and transfer box and rear diff Breathers with just 1pipe coming to 1point high in the engine bay

Having gone to all that effort I'd have taken them a lot higher. Also good practice to form a bend at the top so the open end points down again. stops any drippage going down the works
When you get a snorkel extend them up there and in the mean time take 'em up the side of the windscreen

I was thinking about this pete, If the ends are bent over. By the time the water gets that high (engine bay) the diffs/gearbox etc would of done all of it's sucking from the heat change.

Although better safe than sorry ;)

I'd love a snorkel:naughty. As when I have a licence, I want to do some serious 4x4ing:sly I can still extend the pipes as I'll just put a Y or T piece in and run the hose up. Btw. The hose I'm using is sunroof drainage tube
