Hi All,

Attached are a couple of pictures of my Firenza Droop Snoot.
I bought her off a good friend earlier this year after many many years of bugging him.

The pictures show the day we removed her from her 15 1/2 year resting place.
Whilst on a track day at Castle Coombe in 1993 she lost oil pressure and went back home on a trailer. My mate pushed her into his garage and there she sat until Feb 2009 when I with a bit of help dragged her from the garage.
Have not done much , I plan to remove the engine and drive train and refurb or replace as I strip and clean.
Will keep you posted on my progress..
Should keep me warm this winter:thumbs
Cheers
Steve.

Good luck, looks like it survived well....externally anyway :thumb2

I love the headlight covers on these , they look like they got stuck at the factory or went for a cuppa at that stage of the design :D butit turned out as cool as in the end :thumb2

Thats a decade when cars where cars

Ya can see where the Manta came from & the 'droop snoop' RS200's...

That will be worth proper money in years to come :thumbs

Not many about in good standard or tuned condition these days :(

thanks for the memory

Funny that, here in Ireland Vauxhall got a very bad name due to the original? Viva being a piece of crap. Most of the Vauxhalls sold here were under the Opel badge. We would have Opel Astra as opposed to Vauxhall Astra in the UK. Sqme car di8fferent badge, The Firenza were very few and far between although a friend had a Chevette, it was a piece of crap.
