This is my latest toy, no good off road, but great on it.







The last convertible car I had was a Triumph Stag, back in the 80's, I sold it to put the money on our first house.
The Z4 is a 3.0 and has such a smooth power delivery, the only issue I have now days is the lack of thatch on my bonse, plenty of sun cream :augie

My Toyota MR2 is even lower , the Terrano is our ideal tow/snow vehicle.
It's nice to have a few toys in life and at the price I was offered, I couldn't turn the BMW down really.

I'm also on the Transit forum, you think this was bad, someone with a transit bought a beamer and was ex-communicated, had his membership revoked, his van confiscated, and was paraded through the streets of Dagenham before being cast into the stocks for a fortnight!

Yes, it's has the 3.0 6 cylinder engine, it has plenty of grunt and has a nice growl from the exhaust too.

I get so many admiring glances from Transit drivers :lol:lol

I'm glad you picked up on that part of my quote... and not there should be more trannies on this site lol.

Re the low activity, we must assume that all Nissans are 100%, none requiring fixes, wait till the cooler damper nights lol.

None yet, it does stick to the road really well as it has traction control. When you press the sports button, it does become very lively :lol

Sadly, it's a '07 Transit and it's a money pit despite me spending an age to find a 40k, 4yr old vehicle. They're designed by idiots, had to have the fuel rail re-worked because of a design fault, you can't just change drums or discs, they have to be pressed off after removing hubs or half-shafts. Yet another glowing endictment of modern engineering. DMF went at 50k and had to be cut out with angle grinder, just had prop bearings replaced at 55k.

The works fleet are moving from Vauxhall Vivaro's to Ford Transit customs, some of the guys have them already and i must say, they do appear to be a nice bit of kit. The guys who have them say they are really nice to drive, I should get my one towards the end of the year.

Chap I know has a 08 350 transit with a 3.2l 200hoss 5cyl engine it goes like the clappy ding dongs.

When I had the fuel system sorted, the same guy re-mapped the brain and deleted the EGR valve, it's now got 120hp and oodles of torque, especially mid-range. It's great for blowing past people on dual carriageways! Much more drive-able too.

What p1ss3s me off is that Scania/Erf/Renault etc can build artic tractor units that do huge mileage between service and run for 250k miles and on, but Ford/VW/Merc can't (won't?) build a panel van that'll do even half that without have a fortune spent on them.
