Two Photo's of Bob one with the Moose he had shot and had asked two friends to transport the Moose to a cabin which had a cellar,so he could store the meat, and had asked his friends not to lock the door as he was going to film the Moose before salting it( he liked to take 16mm film) later when he went to the cabin to film and salt the carcass, he noticed the door was open, thinking they had forgotten to close the door,as he approached the door it flew open and there was a female bear standing on her hind legs looking at him,he dropped the camera and slung his rifle off his shoulder and fired a shot at the bear,it turned and went into the cabin and Bob followed it,the bear burst through the rear window of the cabin taking the frame as well and off it went back into the woods.

Fantastic stuff, my grandfather was a bargee on the Thames at Limehouse, but got nothing other than the address that my father was born, you are so lucky, Rick

Bob working on the"rocker" ( A gold separating machine), you would place paydirt in the rocker and shake it back and forth and the dirt travelled down the sluice across the stiffles(pieces of wood across the rocker) and the gold which is heavier would get trapped on the stiffles
