i bought an old tea ern for this it does 20 litre a time but then my source of old oil dried up so iv been using new at £18/20 litres from local cash n carry if i find new source i will give it another go in the summer,

good luck with it :thumbs

Pick a old wood burning stove up with back boiler pipe up to old copper cylinder with a coil in it to heat the oil you will also need header tank for a supply of water for boiler
Use old pallets for fuel

solar wise it will depend on what temperature you need to get to and for how long, also does it have to be done in one go or can it be heated and left to cool for a while etc, personally I like the old wood burner idea, Rick

That shed is FAR too clean for a waste oil rig!

If you're going for heating an old DHW tank, flip it upside down and then you'll have a nice domed drain to get the sludge/water cleanly out of the bottom. Also puts the immersion heater hole near the bottom at the same time, so win win.
