I think the plate is 2.5 or 3mm, 0.8mm wire and I am pushing the weld away from me :thumb2

When I first saw the welds I though you were doing a form of art, I thought you had created " An Army of Caterpillars" lol :lol:lol:lol

PS I had to look up the collective name for caterpillars lol...:augie

Like a group of of 4x4's ought to be called a "Terror of Terranos"
A "deal of Mavericks" (Mavericks, often associated with card players lol)

I guess a group of Land Rovers could be called a "Slick of Landies" lol....:doh

One for Briggie, A "citation of Citroens"

Go on... it's sunday... no doubt we'll get a few, more lol....:augie

Yes mate nice, Rick

Now you need to get a paper thin front wing or similar thickness sheet, turn the amps down low and do he same without blowing holes, and if you do make a hole and you will, then practice filling it in, it is all about practice and a sterady hand, my hands are no longer rock steady Rick

I have a couple of front covers off of some combi boilers to practice on :lol

Don't weld them if they are galvanised will give off nasty gases like chlorine.

Welds look good :) I would try some angled joins in similar materiel once you get the settings dialed in (which look pretty good anyway) :thumb2

I Will scrape the paint off to see first, I don't think they are but I best check. The boys on the welding forum say they are a bit tall which I think they are, but I've actually looked through the manual now :lol and it has a very good table for wire speed and amps fir different thickness metal and wire, I'm enjoying it though mate. I picked up a cheap grinder and I will prob get another on payday, top tip that is bud :thumb2
