if they not used to hi/low box it may be enough to confuse them enough to abandon the theft.

I haven't had a chance to ring the council - will do it today. It's all going through the insurance, the courtesy car is coming today. I'm not expecting to see my car again, it's probably in a container now on the way to Africa.
