I have had a fair few T2's and have never used anything but aftermarket filters, oil, air, cabin and fuel, and I have never had a problem with them :nenau

Just a thought, when i spoke to nissan about a similar problem with my 2.7 tdi, they stated that if you use aftermarket filters on these, they will go pearshaped,i fitted a genuine nissan fuel filter, and it cured it in 2 nanno seconds, mine now flies like a rocket, well worth fitting a genuine filter, only cost £8.95,worth a look, andy.

Must have been some really poor Chinese thing that had a seàling problem.

If you use a decent make from somewhere like 'general traffic auto spares' then you won't have a problem.

having said that me and Shark1e (the founder of this club) once did a filter change on an old TD swb Terrano of mine and his Mistral at the same time on his drive. We had cheap filters from Milner and found the sealing ring wouldn't seat on his Mistral but was fine on mine. He also commented that day how much faster my Terrano seemed than his mistral (both TD) but then again his was an auto. :nenau

S

Sorry to drag it up again guys been out with my mate again & his truck flys !!!!

Got back in mine and had to pull over to make sure I still had a turbo bolted on it felt so much more sluggish !!!

I'm pig sick because the truck is now my main motor and his truck is just his toy !!!!

I've got a boost gauge connected and it boosts to 10 psi no probs

Checked the fuel pump for mini filters in both banjos and within the pump
but didn't find one, cleaned the maf with contact cleaner
There is very little movement on the turbo blades and no oil sitting in the turbo inlet as I've re routed the oil breather

Intercooler was removed approx 2500 miles ago and fully cleaned with petrol and let dry properly no known cracks or splits in it ( if there was I presume they would be obvious)

Took the truck out without the carbon intake connected but doesn't make any difference.

Changed the fuel filter in July this year the truck doesn't go any better or worse than before. I used a eurocarparts job is and have used these filters for the last 3 services and again no better or worse than before changing it.

Again I would of thought if there was an air leak on the fuel side of things it would be obvious ??

His truck seems to be raring to go all the time and mine just feels laboured compared to his.

Still no fault codes either.

Best way to describe the feeling is if we were both driving at 35 mph in 3 rd gear and both put our foot flat to the floor my truck would feel like the clutch is slipping ( which it's not 1000%) making a bit of noise but not really going anywhere feels like its taking ages for the rev counter to go up but smooth at the same time.

As for my mates truck he's gone !!!

I have no un-toward smoke or smells

I'm stumped and gutted to be honest !!!

Maybe woth nipping it into a Diesel fitter and let them test it. You could spend ages guessing and getting no where. Just have them do a Diog on it and go from there. Could be your pump is on its way out but at least you will know.:thumbs

Have you changed the maf? Mine was not dragging its heels and would not really rev above 3k, changed the maf with one from Nissan for about £70 and straight away it was a different drive, responsive, would accelerate and would easly push to the ton... :)

Change the maf for a genuine Nissan maf from Nissan

Same as mine was.......................MAF :thumbs
Now it's a flyer, wouldn't have believed the difference it made.

.

Guys I have got the expensive maf it's a hitachi so popping into Nissan and buying one isn't going to be cheap

I changed the maf about 18 months ago only for a 2nd hand one and I went better than before I changed it but still no better than now if that makes sense.

I know the maf is the one used on 2.0 petrol primeras the p11 I think

Perhaps a member will meet up with you and let you borrow his for a run up the road ?
