I'm about 60mls south of Mullingar and 70mls south of Longford where Wolf lives,I think Bluebull is Northern Ireland, that's at least 100mls from me. I'm 15mls south of Portlaoise which is 60mls from Dublin where I am originally from. Now that's a brief geography lesson for you. Bet you're sorry you asked.

um where IS Ireland??

ok cool. so quite a drive a part as not motorways ..

Well as pajo said im in Longford more or less centre of Ireland, so handy to meet anywhere in the country. but originally from dublin too (Northsider Pajo, Raheny).

As for member there are a few more Irish members but as to how man and who are still active im unsure thats some thing for bat to confirm!!

and Pajo ill leave more info on here as i hear it from Paul (Bluebull) as his journies to mullingar will be more regular and probably a monthly thing

Oh,Oh , there's going to be trouble. One Northsider and one Southsider, we better armour plate the T2's before meeting and NO GUNS allowed.LOL

Well Mullingar is about 1hour twenty minutes from me, and rumour has it that we ARE building a few more miles of motorway but as we are in Ireland it is unlikely that any of the motorways will meet, we'll just have little strips of motorway here and there.

....and take away the number you first thought of... :augie

Well as pajo said im in Longford more or less centre of Ireland

I thought that place that used to be on the old bakelite radio dials - Athlone - was the centre of Ireland?

When I used to visit my then g/f's family in Brittas Bay we used to love going up over Molls Gap on a back route to Kilmallock near Limerick....via Tipperary as I recall..

My wife has never been, despite being a redhead from a family called Cassidy (no her da wasn't Hopalong!) and keeps on at me to take her....its a fabulous country when it isn't pi55ing with rain (just like Wales) so I plan to make the effort next year or two...do the Ring and a few other places....always fancied the Burren but never made it that far up on the West side...

Well yea Athlone is Technically but Longford is fairly close to central too!! beside no mater what way you look at it, its not a hugh country!!

Pajo its the Clutch, either the master cycliner or the slave one but not got near it to be honest

If you're going west then start in Connemara and work down through the Burren and into Kerry but do bring wellies and rain gear. It really is lovely when (if) the sun shines.

Hiya guys, Sorry I was un able to make the meet up, The paintball team cancelled the day and more importantly my head was really messed up after fighting to keep my job. I have been told I have to move to a lower paid job and a job I dont want to do beacuse during my fire service carrer I slipped of the fire engine and damaged my knee, the council I work for have said its my own fault I did it because I was helping out at a school event with the fire engine and was doing it on my day off. I have been back and forwards seeing a solictor and my union the whole week and completely forgot to check this forum. Really sorry guys and hope you understand ok.

My T2 is hopefully going in this week to have the 4 inch suspension kit fitted so will be ready for the next trip down to Mullingar and a little bit taller. Sorry again lads, Paul

Really hpe that works out ok,stuff like this is what is putting more and more people off doing a kind of voluntary work in their community. Either the school should have insurance or the council's insurance should cover that as it was THEIR fire engine and they are responsible for it.
