well i still think that general grabber AT2 are best hd ATs, probably better than
BFGs, certainly cheaper.
Not aware though of Muds from General so would then look at Cooper STT as
have a build quality like Generals and BFG.
The STTs have a neat rim protector like the AT2s and for me are one of the
few more aggressives can find in my fairly uncommon 265/70x16 on the patrol.
Of course other treads on 265/75 are much easier to find....
For me its probably not much that 5% on the profile but sooner run stock size.
On the older Terrano2s with 15" rims, I'd stick with them the tyre world is
your oyster. 235/75x15 are going to found on virtually every tread pattern.
16"s are so so, don't even touch 17"s.

agreed, if your not into lifts and huge tyres go for a 235 75 15, and an good AT as for all round winter driving you need something good on wet roads and in the snow, and mud tyres are (as the name suggests) good in the mud, but a compromise on everything else. :thumb2
Got 235 75 15 x5 on steel wheels with technic amazons on for my 51 plate terrano,used all last winter in up to 18" of snow no problems and unlike my old colways quieter on tarmac.My T2 has 16" wheels as standard and these side by side are slightly taller.

unless your going playing in the mud, then i personally don't see the need for mud terrain tyres
i do a bit of green laning, and the bfg a/t's were more than enough to deal with anything in my area,
that being said i have got some 31's on my maverick now only to gain a bit more ground clearance - bottom of truck scrapped in a few areas. :augie
i used my bfg a/t's in over a foot of snow (long time since we've had that much in this area (n/w lincs/notts) - so i would reccomend a decent all terrain tyre for use all year round
bfg aint bad but are pricey - can't fault the general grabber at2's - mate had them on a frontera, made loads of difference green laning, there are other tyres which are more road biased, but really depends if you want them for bad weather or you plan on going mud pluggin' at the weekend :thumbs
my experience of mud tyres was on a suzuki sj (not exactly the most quiet vehicle) but they were noisy on the road - mind you it was a rag top, with no carpets/sound deadening etc so mabye that didn't help :augie
