Doesn't look bad in this pic, but after 3 and a half hours of digging, Hi-lift jacking and swearing it was tractor time :doh

Yep, I have a terrible habit of learning the hard way :doh
I hope you took it all back & filled that hole in
Lol we all did it fella. In my opinion the best tool to have is a winch as any tyres in deep mud have limits. diff locks are good if it lifts a wheels etc but don't matter squat if mud is deeper than your axels
Only advantage I've found with swb is over crests. But for hill climbing the lwb I think is better to have the extra bit of weight over rear wheels as my mate had swb and mine climbed hills far better and that's only reason I could come up with.
Now some would say that the smart thing to do was drive AROUND the big puddle.
:augie
Funny that, i've always been really surprised how well mine does over crests, driving over stuff really expecting it to scrape but nowt!! What u reckon about turning circles?
Pffft, nah, down the middle or not at all :lol
I tried to reverse back to get on tbe left hand side of it, but I needed to go back about 75/100 yards to where the ruts were shallow enough for me to get out. Unfortunately my towbar had other ideas and kept digging in :doh
Yeh I'd have given a lot to have a winch that day, I don't if I should put one on tho, I'm trying to persuade myself to buy a swb version and give it some Banshee
Damn that Commie tow-bar!
YESSS SON!!!!! ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!
:naughty :lol
