Hi just a quick one got a 97 mav 2.7td 7 seater does anybody know how much diesel is left once the fuel light comes on ,had to pick my son up at stupid o clock and light came on got home ok but just be nice to know thanks.

Someone will have the answer for you. A full tank is around 80l

its ABOUT 15 miles driving nice and steady, but everyone's will be different. I know when that lights on, its low.

cheers for that dont really let it get that low as a rule but good to know thanks...:thumbs

Is that from experience Clivvy?

Just ask as the Trol is 15 litres left when the light goes on which can easily get you 70+ miles with a not overly heavy foot... but that is on a 95 litre tank of course :D

I have on several occasions done 30 miles in mine when the light came on.

Often you find it will come on 8 miles or so from home, and the next morning it does not come back on for 4 or 5 miles.

thats what mine did as i say came on but got me home then never came on the day after ....

I know that in my Patrol I have done about 30 miles after light has stayed on but too scared to do any more.

Will my 98 terrano 2 have a fuel light? ive run it low but never seen the light come on :nenau

yup, but this was in my old Mav. In my Terrano, 03 plate, I got a bit more. When I first bought it the light was on, and I got approx. 10 miles before the needle was quite literally dead flat - so not a risk I try to take. In the Mav I got 15 miles from light on to needle flat - I never let it actually run out. Could be you can get more, but when that needle hit flat that's close enough for me.
