Thats the lowest I ever got.

With the fuel now cheaper I get upto 56mpg at a steady 90mph

Now your maths has thrown me how on earth does cheaper fuel give more mpg

Whatever the science is I want a part of it 8)

Me too.... Mr Jones obviously has an interesting sense of humour... punchline must be due soon!![/quote

I'm guessing he's talking equivalent (on a cost basis) to petrol mpg but he's running lpg. Petrol has come down but gas hasn't come down as mch so I think he's slipped up on the ast bit.

The plot thickens!!! I had thought he might mean LPG equivelant on cost grounds but still couldnt make the maths work that way either, then I thought maybe MPG in Nathans worls doesnt stand for Miles Per Gallon... but couldnt work out what it could stand for... Now??? I really have other stuff I should be doing instead of this!!!!!

metres per gallon

Though I did one get mpg around that on a laning trip in the dales - came back on the back of an AA wagon - a much cheaper trip alround.

TDi

My wifes hates my Mav as well, she will not drive it and keeps harping on about the Disco we used to have!
So, even though I'll be sorry to let it go, I need to sell the Mav asap just to get some peace & quiet.

Any buyers interested??????

Nathan, you told me your truck did 25mpg local, didn't you?

On a run it will, even had a genuine 30mpg from it when driven very cautiously.
Around town through the summer it was about 22 but in the cold weather about 18-20.
And thats with the roof rack and mud tyres on for real.

Off the subject a bit,

Can anyone tell me how to do the quote with a box and then a box inside another.

Sorry Tomas her indoors still dont like the Mav, and you re gonna have to sell. I was very nearly in the same position not very long ago with the T2, but as i said in my original post- have managed to get the wife on side now. think the long journey trouble free helped a lot in my favour and the excellent MPG. Plus when climbed out having reached our destination she said its so much more comfortable than any car we have had ever owned. Bonus! so long may it continue.

Ouch, I think they may have seen you coming! The market has dropped big time. I've been watching ebay trucks for a few weeks now cause mine is rubbish. I reckon you'll be doing well to get £1500.
Forecourt stuff is £2000 mark with all sorts of deals and g/tees!
Best to buy her a little run around and keep the beastie.
Good luck

Well I spotted a few on eBay with "R" & "P" reg with higher mileage at the same price and thought I had a good deal.
I part-exed the wifes Fiesta into the deal, so I don't see getting her another one would do any good!
She already has a Scenic.
If I get about £1750 I'll be happy.

Hey Nathan, you should have gone for an older Mistral like mine .... There's an ATP machine in the dashboard that actually pays me 46 pence a mile for driving the Mistral , and it runs forever on the gas produced on the "Fray Bentos" farm ......... you know ...... the Bull Poo  -killingme-
