mine can be improved, need to take off roof rack, get rid of the lead out my boots, could do with new fuel and air filter aswell

those figures above where achieved on a long run to norfolk , with the gearbox selector in " economy " mode ..... normally i average around 26 mpg

well next time we goto birmingham i'm not going to have the roof rack on, and will take the lead out my boots and then redo the test

Being sad I regularly check my mpg Usually get 30/31 mpg on work journey each day (approx 55 mile round trip, A roads and commuter traffic..7am out and 5pm back) and about 28 around town (short journeys).... Is a manual 2.7tdi and I do drive like an old bugger! :thumbs

bit of a dimwit calculator.....you just divide mileage by litres used, then multiply by 4.542 for mpg.

Oh and then multiply by 0.9 to get actual cos of your speedo over-read
