The Mrs old motor that she sold when she got Rayfs 3Ltr is past due for MOT again, if yu all remember I had to do some serious welding on it last year around the rear spring mounts, this year we have worn track rod ends, corroded discs and worn pads and some welding needed around the wheel arch seat belt points and a bit on the inner cills, the new owner parks it on the seafront every day and it is has taken its toll on the corrosion front, Rick

Good work Rick, it lives in a very harsh environment so no doubt it’ll need it pretty much every year.
My old project truck failed in January, I was ready for off loading it but son said he would do the welding but unfortunately still waiting. I suspect it’ll probably go to the scrap man later this year.

Sadly I’m giving until May to fix it, I purposely told him I was going to off load it the day it failed test back in January. When he volunteered to fix it I did mention to him that I wasn’t going to ask him to fix it but he insisted.

Near side done today, got interrupted with a phone call from a guy with a Merc that was stuck in his back garden on a slope, but could not recover him as he could not find his tow eye and there was no place to get a strap on him without damage so got him to drive to the bottom of his garden where we pulled out a couple of rotten fence posts that enabled him to drive onto a track, happy days, Rick
