the old girl is in for her test on Monday, I am expecting a list of the usual suspects. I might even wash a bit of mud off her first if i get the time.

I will be in north Devon in my new GV for the week so it should be a nice list of jobs to come home to :doh

You should have a go at sorting the obvious faults, then you're list will not be as long :thumbs that's what I done and it past

good plan, but i am busy all weekend and off to North Devon first thing on Monday, I am leaving it to my eldest daughter and son in law to sort it out. She is a service manager for a group of car dealerships and he is a vehicle technician for the royal mail

Well, sounds like its in good hands :thumb2

at least out of my 'can't be arsed' hands :augie

:lol:lol

Lets just hope your daughter does not have your attitude as well... other wise it will just be into another set of "Can't be arsed'" leave it till dad gets home hands.:lol

Look on the positive side....It might just pass, you never know (insert Wishful thinking smiley here.....> ( )

if it's gonna cost £500 it's going on ebay! :augie:augie:augie

I did my off side upper ball joint this morning, it arrived at 9:00 so what the heck...

Easier than I thought, since everything was waxoyled from new, the 4 top bolts came out a doddle, but I was stumped by the fact I couldn't get a 22 mm socket on the lower nut, as there wasn't room due to the drive shaft, so out came the open ended spanner, my best ones, the original Britool from 25 years ago...
Real quality stuff.

Came undone a treat, I was ready with the chisel, but no..:thumbs

I used my ball joint splitter, and off it popped.

Fitting the other one was quite straight forward, now the play in the front wheel has gone, and the clunk too when I rocked her.

MOT in 4 weeks, but getting through my todo list slowly.:thumbs

I hate MOT time...:doh

2 years ago I bought a Yuassa battery, it is struggling to start the old girl, so on Monday I'm off to the battery place with my 3 year guarantee...

I am not confident that I will get a free replacement, but this is the worst battery I have had.
My last one was a platinum, that went nearly 7, yes 7 years...

On Tuesday, I might be off to Cannock for a Lucas...:augie
