MOT Failure

My Patrol failed its mot today, :doh . Not on much, rear anti roll bar link? And front wheel bearings need re tightening. So not to bad for a 12 year old motor I suppose.

Easy fixes bud so not bad, rear ARB will be one of the droplinks presumably - they're wearing parts (I don't have that problem anymore as I took mine off a couple years ago when I did my lift).

Wheel bearings are pretty easy to tighten too :thumb2

MoT fail not a mountain of work to fix !

Pretty much a common pair of fails for many vehicles so pretty good really. Front wheel bearing adjustment is easy to miss if you check yourself especially if its a relatively small amont of movement.

I would replace the rear ARB links as a pair and do the clamp bushes at the same time then you are good for a few years.

Just had the rear ARB clamp bushes done on my Jeep ready for the MoT in January. They were Silicone ones and had only done 18,000 miles since last replacement. Mine seem to wear badly as it's an upgraded rear ARB for towing fitted by previous owner and is 700 % stiffer at the rear giving a crap low speed "B" road ride. New clamp/bush units from US come with grease nipples so I am going to give them regular shots of Red Rubber Grease in the hope of getting them to last a bit longer.

My local garage that I have used for years are doing the drop links and bearings, also my pedders trax riders are due for delivery tomorrow so I got a quote and there fitting them also for 150 quid, saves me doing it on the drive and freezing my nuts off. So come Tuesday I'll have my tol back on the road and raring to go on my off road holiday:clap
