well mine failed this time on the following points

Offside rear anti-roll bar has excessive play in the ball joint

Centre steering box has relative movement between sector shaft and drop arm.

where can i get replacement parts and is this gonna be costly??
had some adviseory aswell but they can wait

anti-roll bars millners or ebay do some.

strring, orry no idea

Hi Tony, you need to get the guy to point out the exact steering part you need. Chances are Milners will have that too. You might be able to print off the steering linkages from the online manual, wait for Briggie or Zippy to post the link :lol

Jim

agreed, his steering box failure is a bit vague, needs to show you what part because the steering is pretty complex on these cars i think, i.e. lots of links etc

What's a "Centre" steering box?
You do have ONE steering box and one steering idler.
The woolly description sounds like the steering box and that can be adjusted a bit.Selector shaft sounds more like gear box to me:augie

as per my last post, try adjusting steering box preload as per manual, makes a load of diferance, no more pulling to left or wandering, or your fault could be relay box.
ball joints milners.
sounds a cheep mot, if you do it yourself.
no welding?

bit of welding but on an advisory notice
when the guy showed me it seem to be a shaft at the back of the steering with a joint on each end when i said howmuch would that cost for the part he said about 80 quid roughly but dont know what the part is called but my mate two doors down who build landies and other stuff is looking at it this morning and i trust him more than the MOT guy

update

mate says best to replace the lot so ball joint to ball joint ordered from milners 175 quid the lot just waiting for delivery then get it fixed

tracking

well parts fitted tracking roughly but the local garages says they are a specialist job the truck has to be weighted or something like that
