aye lol, well, the shoes were new a couple of years ago, mechanic had no problems changing them etc, but my understanding of break on these cars is minimal, so i wont attempt fixing them. If it was a caliper, no problem.

My only confusion now, is the shock bushes, I cant figure out if i need new shocks, or just the bushes. I cant find just the bushes, but im sure ive read its all one complete unit, can anyone confirm this?

also, is this the correct drag link/relay rod for my 97 Maverick? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220535284960&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT ive seen the one in milners, but its different...

Shock rubbers are not available separately, come with the shocks. Had to replace mine last year,Wednesday went through test ok, so good for another 12 months. By the way,I used shocks from scrappy and they were fine, and cheap.

thats where you get the rubbber bushes from as stated much earlier , but if not go to a shock place they will have drawers full of them the shocks are often universal but the bushes are changeable to suit the car

interesting, ill call an auto factors onMonday before ordering, if they have the parts fine, if not, ill order the whole shocks, either way, i need the parts by Friday to do the work that weekend...

arses....MOT man couldve checked it lol!
mind you its not always the case . i bought some H4 bulbs from pound shop they work fine . but the beam is all over the place . so the lights need setting up if you change bulbs etc .... learn something everyday . well unless your paullllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy . cos he knows EVERYTHING

milners, big box behind counter, think they were 30p each? they said toyota, but fitted without too much fuss

ok, all parts ordered.

drag link from 11redex
arbs from ebay (uk shop trading onebay)
shocks from ebay (uk nissan shop trading on ebay)

"adjusted" my head lamp ain by turning the aim control from 0, to 3, thus lowering the aim-arses.

suspect my "binding" break issue is the handbreak cable, booking a day off either this Friday, or Monday, to get the work done. Im hoping Larson will be able to come help me at the weekend to do the arbs, drag link and shocks, at the very least he says he knows how to do the arbs so thatll really help!

when changing the shocks, do you still need a spring compressor, even though the shocks dont go throught the springs..??
