Well guys, just about to set off to take the project truck for the exhaust fitting and MOT.

It shouldn’t take more than a day but for some reason I’m expecting a two day wait.

Fingers crossed for you mate.

So thats the second bit of bad news today. That dreaded tin worm again.

To me the outer sills looked rough but fine where they have been plated before and same with the inner. Didn’t spot anything on the front at all.

Totally gutted but along with some more bad news this is taking a back seat.

At least there's a list of what's needed and all the best with the other bad news. Be positive, there's (usually) always a solution.

Have been down to the garage to take a look and he’s shown me the rot. It’s where the sills have been repaired before and one small hole at the front body mounting where it curves and joins inner wing. Asked him to price it up because there’s so much gone on lately and now the other thing. Will see how it goes but at the moment the truck is insignificant.

Unfortunately my truck will not be ready until Saturday morning. Disappointed :doh

Yes all road legal again. Typical though I’m supposed to be teaching on a course at York.

It’s back on the road taxed as well now.

It’s got a major leak coming through the map lights and sunroof switches though. For the moment the truck is under the carport with the battery on charge for now so it’s not going to get wet now. Tempted just to duck tape the sunroof on the outside until next weekend. I suspect it’ll be a sunroof drain as this being the older truck doesn’t have the aerial at the front. So the tape will seal it for now.
Also the spare key has a faulty switch, it won’t unlock so I’ll have to get that sorted too.

Great news Jim :thumb2

Gorrilla tape is especially good, stays on ages and is extremely sticky, its doing a fine job of holding one of my front indicators on :D

That's really good news Jim. Pleased to hear it's back on the road and only a couple of niggles to sort out

Time for some reward time for all your hard work, put on some tunes and enjoy driving the truck.

Timpsons should be able to sort out that faulty button if you don't want to bother with it yourself.
