I said to Elton if my truck passes the bloke needs sacking.
I know I have problems.the truck does too:lol.
First thing the bloke said to me was.
"Kinnel mate have you seen the angle of my passenger front wheel"
Yes mate. I'm not expecting to pass I'm expecting you to fail me and tell me what wrong.

There is no room between the bump stop and stop.
The wheel looks at a 25% angle.the tyre is wearing very quickly on the inside.

He tugged and pulled every bush and component with a big crowbar.and still nothing appeared worn.
The drag link mod has 1/8" play in it and needs addressing.for now I'm just going tighten the bolt.
Headlight alignment was out.passenger side.
And emmisions as I drive it like an old man.scary putting foot down with my steering:eek:.
So quick blast or two will sort that.

As for wonky wheel???pass????
I need it sorting as my tyres are prematurely dying.

well clearly if nothing is worn but wheel not sitting correct then something is bent, Rick

Steve dude, why don't you start snapping some pics of the underside, section by section, this wont help me but the likes of some on here will likely spot something or a component that is knackered :thumb2

Drop us some piccies of the rack and various :thumb2

The wheel side thats at a angle, is the truck lower?

i had problems with my camber when I lifted the front end.
had it re shimmed but was still out a bit.
changed upper ball joints and compression rod bushes and that's made it better but had to lower the front down a tad on torsions to get it right.
get it on level ground and just lower the front down a bit to see if that helps.
if its wound up too much the upper control arm will rest on the bumpstop.

I had the wonky wheel issue, had 2 new front tyres and went to have it tracked as mine was wearing on the inner edge.

The guys lazer tracked it and the minute I drove it off the forecourt the steering wheel was off and the wheel was wonky again, the guys at ATS must have done it about 4 times, it ended up needed a new centre steering rod and idler arm, back to ATS and it was perfect again :thumb2

I will take some pics when I'm not working and have light.
I'm thinking I must have wound n/s up more than the o/s?

I will tighten drag link up when I have brought some 22mm spanners and mess with torsion bars.
But like I said to Elton when we went laning last something sounds loose too.
No I haven't adjusted the camber at all.
Before I get some shims made I will replace all bushes and ball joints first.
And then try and find a garage with the right equipment to track it.
Most places I have tryed struggle with the wheel size.

got mine done at rapid fit at back of work and he didn't have any problems.
it drives straight but my steering wheel is off centre.

I had this problem tyre wear was bad shimmed the top arm all was good. I'm lucky to have a good tyre fitting garage here who understand lifted trucks

I know the worst thing us menly men want to do is lower our trucks but it might be a good starting point, as I remember, yours are wound up to an inch of their life, who says it was set right to begin with? Take it down have a look and raise it back up :thumb2

I'm with Elty on this one

If you are capable of course :thumb2

if your wheel is off centre and has not been disconnected from the box then you have a problem, the box has a tight spot at the centre position as this is where the most wear takes place, if yours is off centre then you have slack just where it should be tight, Rick

Never owned a terrano with the steering wheel dead centre.
Always seem to be slightly to the left.
I have plenty of problems mate but I don't think a tyre place can sort them :lol
Only place that got it close was a commercial tyre place.
Not sure if he is still in business but will give him a try when I am off work.
Can't blame it on the uprated drag link mod as it was like it before that was done.

My wheel is off centre too but that'll be due to some idiot at some stage adjusting the tracking on just one side:doh

Can't we disconnect the thingy that parted company on alexes steering.turn it a few notches and straighten wheel up like that?
All beyond a mere window cleaner like me.but I can lower torsion bars.but with -38 offset wheels I'm struggling for arch room as it is.

It won't be your splines on steering box, mine came off completely and wheels were still.upright just no steering available :thumb2 forget the position of steering wheel mine also is a tad to the left.

This was my thoughts as well mate.
They guy that did my tracking did say he was having trouble getting the wheel to centre but was limited with equipment because of the size of tyres that are fitted.
Didn't charge me through the books just asked me to chuck 20 quid in the tips pot they have got on the counter.

I tried nearly every garage in Louth to sort my tracking only one could sort it. Few of them refused due to it been lifted. Like I say the one I use now are spot on and really know there stuff
