MOT - Bulb Colour

Yesterday my Scenic failed it's MOT:doh

OS Front wing Repeater Lamp is flashing Red instead of Orange. Stealer wanted £18 to replace a little cap less bulb, so I'm taking it back for a free retest next week. It really depends which direction you look at the light as it how red it actually is, from the side of the car or front it is orange but from the rear it is a reddish orange. Is it me that's thinking it's a little harsh. Surprisingly that was all it failed on which seems pretty good for a Reno.

its not bad for a renault. to be fair

bulb must be cheaper elsewhere.
but just a thought, if its one of the side repeaters cant you just cover it with duct tape for mot.

Just changed the bulb, it was covered in red over spray. That means it's been like that since before I got the car. So the Reno dealer has passed it twice before:doh

Colour of bulbs has been a source of debate.....no argument, for a long time

I reckon MOT wise it depends on the eyesight and perception of the individual doing the test :naughty
