finished the rock sliders there going to the powdercoaters with the sump guard

yes rick had to pull sideways off a tree at least 60 deg with no prob got synthetic rope not wire on mine :thumb2 have you got some brian

no still on wire, is this synthetic stuff dear and I guess it will be thicker so less length to play with, will be ordering a new winch soon for my new motor for the front, old winch will go on the rear, and the roll cage will go through the roof with a pole on top to give me a point to pull from when I roll it, Rick
 
Rick, save up for some dyneema mate, it's the dogs danglies :D
Best of all you don't need to see the drum and it's thinner than steel and you don't get wire splinters :)
You do need to be more careful if it's got to run over ground or trees etc, in which case you'll need some old plastic sacks or similar for the rope to slide over safely.
Also you don't need a winch sail :thumb2
 
yep, also easier to spool back up. Wire is a pain in the arse
