Monitor/Screen Not always working??

Hi there
I have a R51 Pathfinder 2006, the console screen sometimes does not turn on,..... sometimes I turn off and on again it works other times not... I think also it happens more when the weather is damp! has anyone experienced this as well?
Could it be a relay not always switching? It's only the screen that does not come on everything else seems to work.
Also it does not happen regular enough to start fault finding. Just a pain if I'm using the SAT NAV.

Know nothing about the pathfinder, but this is a generic electrical problem, doubt it is a relay, much more likely a solder dry joint on the printed circuit board associated with the display, identifiable by a very thin black ring on a pin in the soldered board, there is a thread on here by jonella re the speedo display that has pics of the sort of thing you are looking for it is a couple of years old, I am hopeless at finding stuff, Rick

I will keep that in mind, but until it gets worse I'll live with it no doubt it will bite me ....l the day I'm lost using 'sad man' sat nav and it fails completely...
