So after getting a good idea of the Troll's capabilities whilst on the Wales weekend (which seems like it was ages ago ) I've been having a think of what I want to do to her before the tour in 2015.
Wishlist is as follows (will just try to get down it as far as I can before I do the tour):-
1) 2" Suspension Lift. I've had a major re-think on this one and reckon it will provide the best overall benefit - increased approach and departure angles, higher ground clearance to get my sills out of the way, better articulation, ability to fit 33-34" boots (if I want to). I can carry a step for the older family members to get in! :lol
2) Change the rear lights to euro spec clusters in the boot door pillars. This will remove the need for the indicators and brake lights in the rear bumper (where they're more vulnerable) :thumb2
3) Roofrack. Figure it'll be handy for carrying some of the bits and pieces on the tour.
4) Spares for the tour! Tour operators recommend spare belts, alternator and water pump. I'll check on the Aus Patrol Forums as well to see what the guys take when going into the bush. I'll likely need new boots by this point as well, probably go for Cooper Discoverer STTs.
5) Snorkel. May swap places with the roofrack (probably cheaper at least), I'm not sure :nenau.
6) Rear steel bumper. Won't need a winch in it to be road legal = cheaper than the front and rear overhang is slightly large as shown on the bombhole! (what can I say, baby got back :naughty)
7) Front winch bumper with winch to make it road legal.
8) Rock sliders, sidesteps will have to suffice in the meantime!
Barring a lottery win there is probably zip chance of me getting to the end of the list as I still have to pay for the tour itself and supplies etc, plus I'm sure life will do it's best to get in the way! haha
Anyway, what are your thoughts guys? Would you put any mods higher/lower down the list?
Cheers
Rob
