Thanks to Elty for finding these and supplying a link :D Although the bases on these are brown, they are a direct swap for the blue bulbs and a fraction of the price, plus you don't have to go and deal with the spanner on the parts desk at your local Nissan

Hi guys,

I have a bulb blown at the back of the dashboard.

It is one behind the digital mileage reading. This is a blue base bulb, and I have some in stock.

My question is, as I will have the unit off, is there any improvement I can make to the lighting quality, by changing any of the other bulbs (black and brown base), as I read that they are higher wattages than the blue base......

Are there any compatable LED bulbs that will work...?

I have used the search function, and the threads are from some time ago.....any updates.....:bow:bow

Thank you in advance...

I’m guessing if they are all from the factory then there is a good chance that they’re coming to end of life or sooting up.
I’ve seen some great LED illumination of the cluster but I’ve seen some horrible LEDs that create bright spots or hot spots as I call them. Can be a little in your face bright too.
With my old truck I just bought a batch of new bulbs rather than go LED route.

There will be some LED dashboard example photo On here I’m sure.

I am sure I read that you can lightly sand leds to diffuse the light so they don't give bright spots.
Don't quote me on it though:lol

Thank you guys, for the input...:bow :bow

I'm guessing then, that LEDs are not the way forward, I will therefore, just replace like with like, and order up some new black and brown base bulbs, ready for when I dismantle the unit....

Once again, thank you...:thumb2:thumb2
