Hi this is my first post on the forum so was not sure where to past this thread.

I recently acquired a 94 Mistral import and it came with no owners manual.

Does anybody now what the Japanese writing says on all the notices on the car like under the sun visor and on door pillars?

Also how is the A/T 'Power' 'Lock' rocker switch supposed to work since it's making no difference but I think it's a turbo issue since the turbo is not kicking in when I floor the pedal. There's just a high pitched whining or hissing when I demand power.

Thanks

Paul

Briggie will be able to tell you about the rocker switch, the stuff on the sun visor is just about selecting 4 wheel drive, fully forward on the lever is 2 wheel, pull it back one position at less than 25 MPH engages 4 wheel (only on loose/slippery surfaces), push the lever down and back one more time (only stationary for this one) and it is in transfer box neutral (important this on an Auto as the Park Pawl will have no effect) next position back is 4 wheel low box, again only stationary, to come out of 4 wheel return the lever to the fully forward position and travel in the opposite direction for a few feet to unwind the transmission and release the auto hubs, think that about covers it, Rick

basically the power lock button , holds the gear changes longer , or sooner depending which way its pressed , if you have a auto setting on the switch leave it on that :thumb2

the japanese writing above the sun visor is as rick says ..... instructions for changing 4wd high/low/2wd
