well i decided today to fill up and put some of that fuel addative stuff in to see if it helped withthe misfire, upon opening the fuel tank filler thingy it sucked in loads of air, neaerly had to hold on to something incase it sucked me in lol, well after filling up the misfire has gone and the engine is sounding alot happier :D

Sounds like the fuel tank breather is blocked, should be near the fuel cap. The tank was probably in a vacuum and pump was struggling to provide fuel to the engine hence the misfire

seems ok now, done a 80 mile round trip misfire is still gone

Did it come back after being left overnight ? Had a chap round here earlier for some parts and he had exactly the same symptoms, it was a seal on the fuel pump, near the front as I recall, allowing air to seep back in to the system overnight.

been ok since, seems a tad grumpy when first start from cold but after a few seconds its gone, not had another misfire yet though
