I was just wondering if anyone on here has had one of the filter kits from Milners? for £10 you get air, fuel and oil filter, I just wondered if they were any good?

Never heard of them can you buy them off the shelf or can you only get them on the web

never had a problem with them, cheep n cheerfull.think they are fram filters that you get with the kit.

Personally i only ever use original equipment but if you service your truck regularly i dont see a problem with cheaper stuff.

if i put a set of genuine filters on mine it would double the value of my motor:lol:lol:lol
have always used milners for all my jap 4x4 stuff and never had any problems that i can recall.

I got one a few weeks back for my 3.0 sve. Air and oil filter bang on, no problem. Fuel filter was different to what I was expecting, only that it had no drain plug thread at the bottom of the filter, but a quick e-mail to Milners conformed that filter was ok as a replacement to the original design. Washer for the sump drain plug a little on the small size, but for £10 and regular servicing you can't go wrong :)

cheap filters

My R3mR came with a set spare oil, fuel & air filters from Milners they were Boshi brand.

The air fillter did not fit properly the seal was a strange design, the oil filter had a faulty anti-drain valve so it would take ages for the oil light to go out. I binned the fuel filter.

Now I use genuine Nissan or Mahle filters.

On the positive side for MILNERS I had a set of Orange Polybushes for the rear end suspension bushes & bolts and they were sound.

looking around the milners site they have a few good bargains, does anyone know if you can collect from them? they aren't that far from me and would save me waiting for delivery

A few years ago I was in Stourport, and a guy was at the side of the road with a puddle of oil next to his Peugeot, he asked if there was a motor factors locally, I asked him what he needed he said some epoxy filler and some oil.

Like an idiot I said I would look, I said you need a new oil filter, that one has rusted through. :doh

I don't know how often he changes the filter, but how long would it take a filter to leak due to rust.:doh

So any filter will do as long as you change it often.
However if the oil light doesn't go out within 1 second, I would change the filter.:nenau

Yes I have collected from their previous site so I guess it should be ok. Check opening times. The fan belts are good value.

Milner Off Road

I collected my Polybushes and found they had moved down the road a bit and turn left - nice new building.

The old site is now Milner Off Road Racing and they appear to be quite seperate firms.

yeah good value, got kit a few weeks ago, no probs, if you can collect it saves postage. Nev

Check what you're buying first before you pay them, I bought a pair of rubber bushes off them and only one turned up, when I questioned it they said it was only one for sale, even though it clearly says 2 per side on the advert. And they charged me £4.50 post ! Could have got a pair of poly bushes off ebay for less.

This can be misread, you might even think you will get 2 per side so that's 4 in total then.:nenau

What they need to do is put 2 required per side.:nenau

We don't always have the time to make a phone call to check every item.
