I'm doing a run there tomorrow to pick up some bits as I've booked the rest of the week off work to enjoy the weather and get the car prepped for MOT :) :thumb2

Does anyone local want anything picking up and bringing back to save on the postage? I'll deliver if you sort me a few pence out for fuel but nowhere near what they are charging for postage :)

Let me know :thumbs

I'll also enquire into club discount whilst I'm there and I'll try and get friendly with them :)

They seem to be the go to guys for top quality Jap parts

Could you see if they will give away vechile stickers?

Cheers Gav

Not sure about top quality some of there stuff is oem but other is chinese rubbish had some stuff for my fourtrak didnt fit ended up reworking some poly bushes.A lot of mixed reports about them on internet

My steering idler didn't fit and they were happy to give me money back plus return postage costs, the only thing is that they gave me the return postage costs as credit but didn't tell me till I rang them up, strange...
Years ago they were spot on parts wise, I dare say cheap and cheerful these days.

I went up there with Shark1e, the club founder, back when this club was very young! I was the first to fit manual hubs, we did a couple of downloads about hubs they are on here somewhere. I used to rate Milner and have never personally had a problem with them, but lately i seem to get better deals at local motor factors. And they wouldn't budge on giving us a discount! :nenau

That was then and this is now ;)
Plus they haven't had the charm of Zac yet :)
It's game over if there's any birds there :lol

if you can't get discount for the club I know of a way to get 10-15% discount.

Say your part of the four wheel drive club forum, Account number is 55386 (postcode: PO8 0ES)

That's the only good thing I got from the fwdc :thumbs

I've also negotiated discount myself off them.:sly
Also worthy of note I think, I wanted some Patrol bits and they offered both OEM or better from Japan, OR I could have the cheap copy stuff. My choice was the good stuff but maybe they're realising now that cheap doesn't keep :thumbs

Right you guys, listen up because I'm only going to tell you once :thumb2

I went to Milner yesterday and picked up my Tie Rod Ends and also some more polybushes for my lower arms :clap

I spoke to the guy on the parts desk who was very helpful however I didn't manage to grab his name :doh

He has agreed that he will offer the club discount BUT not in the conventional way as he has in the past with other clubs. Pajero Owners UK were given the code "POCUK" and that was utterly abused as it was just passed around the internet.

We both came to the conclusion that in order for the club to be offered discount we need some kind of unique number that can identify a specific member on the forum, I will def need some input from the admin surrounding this but this is how I can see it working;

I presume each member has a unique member number, Milner agreed that in order for members of the forum to utilise the discount they must first be premium members and have paid their £10, once this has happened they should then be added to a database/spreadsheet that denotes - Club Username - Unique Membership Number - This is what Milner will use to tie us to the tills and a PostCode of some sort, this could be a delivery address.

I understand that the admins may be too busy to do this and I would therefore volunteer myself to undertake this work if I'm given the right info or permissions to be able to access the info needed and I will then liase with Milner ensuring all members are up to date

I think this would be a real asset to the club as from what I can see we use them a lot and I have also been told that they are in talks with a local pressing company and they are also going to try and stock body panels soon such as Front Wings, doors etc etc

They are also going to send some stickers to me soon as well when they have been printed so if anyone is interested drop me a PM with your address and I'll send you one out for the price of postage :)

Also if anyone has any issues with the kit from Milner can they post on here as they were very helpful in that respect and were begging for feedback whether it be positive or negative so they can improve it going forward

So, BAT21 can you shed some light so we can get the ball rolling :clap:clap:thumbs

that'd be brill & put they're prices inc delivery lower than euro & dingbro trade prices :thumb2

the only problem i've had with parts & i've had both ebay & milners is the front arb drop links but think that may be down to something on my truck as the keep snapping like at the ball joint. but everything else has been fine :thumb2

I think I'd put that down to women driving :augie:augie

Never had a problem with he stuff I have had from milners.
Used them for years for all my jap 4x4 parts and don't think I have ever had any dodgey parts from them.:thumbs

I am around the Matlock area quite a bit so they were my first call for a clutch kit and a few service kits late last year, they will always be my first call for parts.

Out of curiosity have you all seen Milner's Evoque http://www.milneroffroadracing.co.uk/milner lrm-1 race car.htm

I looked around one of them at a recent 4x4 show at Donington, WOW best 4x4 I have ever seen, like a Bowler or Wildcat bought up to date, it has a 5L Supercharged Ford V8 and the engineering is absolutely top class :bow

CREDIT to Banshee :clap for asking about club discount, what with Veg oil and discount from Milners available I can see me keeping this Maverick for a long time.
